Quick Story Line
Blade Runner 2049 is one of the finest movies of this decade where the movie is perfect in every aspect such as direction, story, screenplay, music, cinematography, editing and acting. This movie had a great plot( which will be deeply understood if watched The Blade Runner ) and equally brilliant cinematography. Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner (1982) was a masterpiece, to recreate a film and bring the same feelings towards the current generation people is a difficult task. But hats off to the director Denis Villeneuve, he has shredded his soul and blood for every shot of the movie.
The direction was more than any of the Blade Runner fans could expect. To those people who feel the duration of the film is long and slow-paced at some parts, I would say the plot is too big to fit in a 164 minutes movie and the crew had tried the level best to fit the plot in and so we must appreciate the effort. Coming to the slow pace issue people face, I would recommend you to check about the director Denis Villeneuve, all his movies such as Arrival, Enemy, Prisoners are slowly placed.
Coming to music, I am no person to review a legend’s music, Hans Zimmer’s music gave emotions to all the director’s shot. It was brilliant from him and Benjamin Wallfisch. The casting was perfect which included Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford (from the prequel Blade Runner ), Anna de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks.
