Synopsis
In 1941, one year after Italy joined Germany against the Allies in World War II, a little gathering of rebel Italian troopers is sent to a little Greek island in the Aegean Sea for four months of post obligation. The troopers incorporate a lieutenant who likes craftsmanship, a macho sergeant, a rancher joined by his adored jackass Silvana, and other peculiar individuals. They are not excellent officers, yet a cross area of normal, autonomous men.The fighters envision assault from outside and on the island, and take a wide range of uncouth safety measures. They locate a humble community without any individuals. That night, they see shelling not too far off and by radio block attempt, find that the boat that was planned to get them has been crushed. Bafflingly, individuals return in the town: the townspeople state they covered up in light of the fact that the Germans had taken all the men, yet having seen that the Italians are totally innocuous they have chosen to come back to their lives. It’s not some time before everybody’s bright nature shows up. The Italian fighters, unacquainted with a war they obviously don’t detect as theirs, are assimilated into the life, warmth and scene of the unspoiled island.The neighborhood customary cleric asks the lieutenant, a novice painter, to reestablish the wall paintings in his congregation. Two officers, who are siblings, become friends with a dazzling young lady, a shepherdess. They inevitably perfect their companionship with the shepherdess who thus – cherishes them both similarly. Sergeant Lo Russo, the main individual from the team with a red hot soul for war, takes up people moving and starts to ponder his place known to man. In the mean time, the shyest fighter, Farina, begins to look all starry eyed at the island’s whore, named Vasilissa.WIKI
